George Simons Jr.

George Simons Jr.'s career spans the disciplines of interior design, industrial design, architecture, innovation strategy and design research. Currently Principal of the george simons | office for DESIGN in Seattle, has held positions with Ellerbe, William Stumpf and Associates, Herman Miller, Steelcase, IDEO and NBBJ. George lectures and conducts workshops in professional organizations and academic institutions and writes design strategy, branding, co-design and human-centered research. His work has been exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and MOMA and honored with a Red Dot Design Award and the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award. He has worked with Nike, Steelcase, Brayton, Herman Miller, Geiger International, Harter, Fitch, Ford Motor Company, 3M, Microsoft, The Gates Foundation and Amazon among others. George designed Inspirit seating for Martin Brattrud.
