Luum + Martin Brattrud

Welcome Luum
Martin Brattrud is pleased to announce Luum as the latest addition to The Textile Edit.

The Textile Edit is our program of curated fabrics which have been tested and approved to work across our entire range of products. Colors in the program have been carefully chosen to compliment and harmonize with our unique range of powder coat colors and vibrant water-based ash dyes.

Luum believes that design is most successful when the creative process is paired with a clear performance intent. Whether it’s a problem to be solved or an objective to be met, design is a forward-looking pursuit.

The following 3 collections have been tested and approved across our product range. Not only do they perform beautifully, but all deliver an aesthetic quality, tactile hand and visual interest.

Adage
Adage brings hand-woven techniques to industry front lines. Material and color are intertwined in a deceptively simple and balanced structure, creating a multi-color texture with an enhanced visual effect. By introducing these unexpected variations to otherwise mechanical processes, Adage conveys a hand-woven sensibility while maintaining the ideal performance qualities for contemporary environments.

Wool Fleck
Developed on the Tick Studio loom, Wool Fleck modernizes the plain weave structure, transforming it with vivid color combinations. Using pre- and post-consumer recycled wool, acrylic and polyester, each colorway begins its second life when discarded garments and postindustrial textile waste are shredded back into fiber according to content. Multiple colors of the resulting fiber are mixed into a precise formula and spun together to create complex melange yarns. Dimensional color interactions emerge in the weaving process resulting in a soft, woolen textile suitable for contract and hospitality interiors that minimizes environmental impact.

Ecotone
Though Ecotone’s classic twill structure references traditional wools with its deep colors and matte appearance, its recycled, biodegradable polyester fiber technology and brilliant color range makes it strikingly contemporary. Ecotone provides more design solutions with its bleach-cleanable and multipurpose-use properties. Ecotone’s delustered, solution dyed fibers give its surface a wool-like quality while its color range - dually influenced by nature’s palette and the synthetic brights seen in active wear - demonstrates a range of options for use on screens, panels, wrapped walls and upholstery alike.
