Martin Brattrud first partnered with Laura Guido-Clark of LOVE GOOD COLOR in 2018, together developing an entirely new range of colors and finishes to be applied across the Martin Brattrud product range. This marked the beginning of a journey to consider and elevate the importance and meaning of not only the colors we offer, but also the material health and environmental soundness of all Martin Brattrud finishes. Today Martin Brattrud is proud to share the next evolution of this color story.
Continuing the collaboration with Laura Guido-Clark, the new range of finishes dives deeper into inspiration from the natural world. New colors reflect the earth's diverse landscapes, capturing the essence of soothing blues, earthy greens, warm browns, and other nature-inspired hues. These new colors are designed to bring a sense of calm and harmony to interior spaces, promoting deeper connection and grounding with the natural world.
The new color range includes 13 water-based Ash stains, 8 of which are brand new. Maples, Oaks and Walnuts have been refreshed. Powder coat colors have been updated to include 9 new color finishes which pair seamlessly with coordinating Ash stains. 5 new metallic powder coats have been added with aluminum and stainless steel finishes carrying over. Other materials in the refreshed range include marble, granite, Caesarstone®, Corian® and cork.
Hand-rubbed and plated metal finishes have been eliminated in favor of more environmentally sound powder coated metal finishes. All wood stains are water-based, providing a more environmentally friendly alternative to traditional solvent-based stains.
The updated range considers the palette as a whole, allowing for myriad cohesive color combinations that work well together no matter how they are used. And matching tones in Ash wood and powder coated metal offers designers exciting new ways to specify pieces in a monochromatic look.
