Tell us about your job.
On a usual day, I start off by tackling emails, then move on to reviewing the purchase order log to check for pending fabric orders. It's during this fabric ordering process that I get to observe the various materials chosen by end users for their projects, which I find particularly interesting as I see how they mix and match different colors and patterns.
Describe your most memorable project at Martin Brattrud.
One of my most memorable projects has to be David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering, back in 2018. The order consisted of 264 line items, and at that time, I had just begun working in the order processing department. It felt incredibly rewarding to enter the entire order, manage fabric procurement, and send out the acknowledgments.
What are you most proud of at work?
I'm incredibly proud to be part of the phenomenal team here at MB. Together, we work tirelessly to deliver the highest quality to our clients. In my role as fabric coordinator, I've gained invaluable experience collaborating with our production team, particularly when navigating challenging materials. Yet, we always find a way to fulfill the precise needs of our end users.
Does owning stock in the company change the way you feel about your job?
While owning stock in the company does instill a sense of ownership, I remain committed to delivering my best work regardless.
What is special about the people you work with?
At MB, there's a pervasive sense of dedication and hard work among all team members. I've had the pleasure of meeting some of the most adept problem solvers here, individuals who are unwavering in their commitment to achieving excellence. What's more, the team's welcoming atmosphere made me feel comfortable right from my first day.
Who inspires you and why?
I draw inspiration from everyone I meet, admiring their positive qualities. But my greatest inspiration is my mom. She's been my guiding force, shaping me into who I am today and continuing to do so. Her unwavering positivity, even in the face of life's challenges, is truly inspiring.
What's your favorite thing about California?
My favorite aspect of California is its proximity to the beach, offering a perfect retreat for relaxation whenever I need it.
What is your go-to comfort food and where do you get it?
For me, it's all about street tacos, especially the ones from the bustling streets of Los Angeles. They're simply the best and will forever be my top choice.
What’s the last movie or show you watched? Would you recommend it?
I'm not big on movies, I'm more into reality TV. The last show I watched was "Selling OC," and I'd definitely recommend it, especially if you enjoy drama and seeing some gorgeous beachside homes.
Thank you Rosie!
