2026 marks our 80th anniversary. 

Martin Brattrud has been manufacturing upholstered seating and tables in the South Bay of Los Angeles since 1946. Join us over the coming weeks as we share a little bit about our history.

But first, who is Martin Brattrud?

Martin/Brattrud is founded in 1946 when two G.I.s returning home from military service, Frank Martin and Robert “Bob” Brattrud, partner to establish “Martin/Brattrud” on Western Avenue in Torrance, California.

By the early 1950s, Martin Brattrud is collaborating with notable industrial designers, manufacturing for interior design firms, and retailing in prominant Southern California showrooms.
