2026 marks our 80th anniversary. Martin Brattrud has been manufacturing upholstered seating and tables in the South Bay of Los Angeles since 1946.

By the early 1950s, Martin Brattrud is collaborating with notable modernist designers like Greta Magnusson Grossman and Milo Baughman. Interior design firms such as Cannell & Chaffin commission Martin Brattrud to manufacture custom furniture as well as entire product lines. 

Martin Brattrud appears in showrooms and at retailers alongside many innovative brands of the era.

The 1960s will bring about even more growth and a niche found in the California desert.
