2026 marks our 80th anniversary.

Martin Brattrud has been manufacturing upholstered seating and tables in the South Bay of Los Angeles since 1946. But who is Martin Brattrud?

Throughout the 1960s Arthur Elrod and Associates define a bold, new and colorful brand of modernism original to Palm Springs, California.

Elrod partnered with Martin Brattrud to bring many of his custom upholstered creations to life.

Arther Elrod is perhaps best known today for his own residence, designed by famed architect John Lautner. Elrod commissioned Martin Brattrud to build much of the upholstered furniture, including a custom 28’ arced sofa and an opposing bench.
